We now pay EU VAT!

Posted by Anna Bones on

It seems odd for a company to be so happy to pay VAT, however we're genuinely delighted to inform our EU customers that from September 2021 onwards we now send your parcels as "delivery duty paid", which is the logistics jargon way to say "the sender pays all import fees for the recipient". This means that customers from the EU will not need to pay any customs/VAT fees when they buy our rope. Setting this up has not been a simple process but we feel strongly that burdening customers with unexpected customs charges should be avoided whenever possible.

All our international parcels (EU and worldwide) will now arrive much faster than before, and all packages we send are now fully tracked so you'll never have to worry about where your parcel is. We've been testing this over the last few weeks, and we're seeing parcels to Europe arrive within a week and shipments even as far as Australia have been arriving in about 10 days.

As an added bonus our EU parcels now go by road (rather than air) in eco-start or hybrid vans to significantly reduce carbon emissions.

Thank you for your patience, and enjoy our new upgraded international shipping service!
