The oils and paste are the same blend we use in our rope care processes, helping maintain them and ward off wear. Our experience has shown us that travelling can be rough on natural fibre ropes; climate changes that cause them to dry can make them brittle and hard to tie. This can leave them prone to twisting and damage due to shedding.
The amount of oil or paste to use is based on your preferences and the environment you will be tying in. Humid regions often require more oil to prevent sticking to hands.
The paste is a beeswax-based mix that helps to sustain oil in the rope for longer.
